AutoBud ("we", "us") provides a mobile app that connects car owners with mechanics for repair quotes. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's stored.

Information we collect

• Account info — email, first and last name, optional profile photo. Provided by you at sign-up or via Sign in with Apple / Google.
• Vehicle info — make, model, year, trim, mileage, color, optional VIN and license plate. Used to attach vehicles to your job posts.
• Location — approximate location, used to surface nearby mechanics. Only collected while you're using the app and only with your permission.
• Job posts, quotes, bookings, and messages — the content you create or send through the app.
• Push notification tokens — device identifiers issued by Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), used to send you job-related notifications.
• Crash and performance data — anonymized device model, OS version, and stack traces, collected via Sentry to diagnose issues. Not linked to your identity.

How we use it

We use the information above solely to operate the app: matching you with mechanics, delivering messages and notifications, and improving stability. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to track you across other apps or websites.

Who we share with

• Mechanics you interact with — when you post a job or request a quote, the mechanic you're working with sees your name, vehicle details, job description, and messages.
• Service providers — Supabase (database and authentication), Apple (APNs push), Google (FCM push, Sign in with Google), Sentry (crash reporting). These are processors acting on our behalf.
• Legal — if compelled by law or to protect users.

Data retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account from inside the app under Profile → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, vehicles, job posts, quotes, bookings, messages, and push tokens. Counterparty records of completed transactions (e.g., a mechanic's record that a job was completed) may be retained.

Children

AutoBud is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
